Dear Friends,
Hard to believe, but it's been 30 years that I've been illustrating comics, book covers, magazine covers, packaging art and more. It was 1982 when I had my first professional sale.
To celebrate, I want to make a special offer to my super fans. During the year of 2012 , I will be presenting the "Dave Dorman 30th Anniversary Series of Limited Edition Prints". Each month I will offer a new print for sale featuring iconic images from my 30 years of being an illustrator. This series is limited to 30 pieces only, each signed and numbered by the artist, me, Dave Dorman. Each print will sell for $30. The number you will receive will be dependant on when you order, lower numberss for the earliest buyers. For those of you who wish to guarantee a specific number in the series, I am requesting that you pay for the entire series up front to help with the organization guaranteeing you your specifc number for the year, priced at $360. Shipping and handling is free for US orders. Overseas orders will be charged $18.00 per print for shipping)
Bird of Prey - Dorman 30th Anniversary Print January 2012
The prints will be Giclee on Archival Etching Rag, 13 " x 19" produced by me personally in my studio. On each print will be an embossing as well further celebrating the uniqueness of this edition. Each print will also include a Certificate of Authenticty from, and signed, by me as proof of this special edition
The first print I will be offering is the art from my first major professional sale. The "Bird of Prey" Was the cover to Heavy Metal magazine November 1983. I had been making small sales to independant comics publishers begining in 1982. However this one was the first of my covers to have national exposure, both on newstand and direct sales.
